EventsMLHNZ holds several camps during the year, usually during the warmer months. Members also attend medieval events held by other groups around the country, year round. You don't have to be a member of MLHNZ to attend our events, anyone who meets our requirements can come along and join in the fun, though you do have to be a member to take part in combat. Our camps usually charge a per night camping fee, a $10 insurance levy, and a $5 surcharge for those who don't have a membership with MLHNZ. Children under 16 years of age are usually free, but we have a policy that all minors under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. Unless otherwise stated, all our events are self-catered, meaning that you are in charge of keeping yourself fed.
Spring Camp Spring Camp is usually held in November. It's a five-day event running from a Wednesday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. Wednesday is a relaxed set-up day, many people arrive after work, or after a long drive from other parts of the country. Saturday in an "open home", so those who don't meet our requirements can come visit for an afternoon, and see what it is that we do. Anyone with an attempt at medieval costume is welcome to stay for dinner. Information for Spring Camp 2007 can be found here. Website kindly hosted by David Robb. |
